Dynamic Image Analysis of Particle Shape and Size Analysette 28 Image Sizer

The Analysette 28 Image Sizer measures both the Particle Shape and Particle Size of dry powders, bulk materials or suspensions.
In addition to Particle Size, the Particle Shape Analysis provides information about the morphology of dry powders.

The new Analysette 28 Dynamic Image Analysis Particle Sizer is ideal for all applications where not only the particle size is measured but especially reliable statements about the particle shape are of importance. The design of the Analysette 28 is kept simple, featuring a high resolution camera, the extra-wide measuring range can be individually adapted – and analysis with the new FRITSCH Cloud is unbeatably simple.

The Image Analysis also offers an extra-wide Particle Size range of 20µm to 20mm.

The Dynamic Image Analysis is a fast and accurate alternative to sieving methods for quality control and process control in an industrial environment.

Applications: any free flowing powders such as abrasive, sand, sugar, ceramics, pharmaceuticals, food products, coffee, fertilizers etc.

An optional wet dispersing unit allows the measurement of suspensions and emulsions.

The sample is delivered by a vibrating feeder to the measuring cell. In option, the instrument can be used with a wet dispersing unit, with ultrasonics and flow measuring cell.

A powerful, industrial quality, 5 megapixels digital camera is directly connected to a computer via Ethernet, ensuring the fastest possible image transmission. An extensive library is used for morphology analysis.

The image analysis shows all the particles in the form of a cloud, for direct visual evaluation. For instance, the cloud allows the live detection of oversized particles, agglomerates or contaminant particles.
